About Blooming Rain

I’ve been designing handcrafted jewelry for over two decades, working primarily with sterling silver and ethically sourced gemstones. As a self-taught artist, my journey has been shaped by curiosity, hands-on experimentation, and a deep reverence for the craft—learning through books, online resources, and countless hours at the workbench.
Rooted on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, I draw endless inspiration from nature’s colors, textures, and rhythms: the shifting light, the strength of the mountains, and the fluidity of water. These elements echo through my designs, reflecting the organic beauty and quiet elegance of the landscapes that surround me.

While my work is grounded in traditional metalsmithing techniques, I thrive on exploration and discovery. This year, I’m expanding my creative practice by diving into new methods and taking in-person classes—blending my love of jewelry-making with the joy of travel and learning.
To me, jewelry is more than adornment. It’s a vessel for connection, storytelling, and personal meaning. Each piece I create is infused with care and intention, designed to be not just worn, but treasured—as a talisman, a memory, or a marker of someone’s journey.
